Conservation & Community

New African Territories and the  "Wild Array" of camps & lodges, each of which is a small owner operated business, are completely committed to protecting the iconic habitats that they are situated in and are determined to secure a tomorrow based on sustainability.

Our commitment extends further than our guests, the staff and the broader communities that we serve. It is about a deeper involvement  and a treasured lifestyle that we understand that we are privileged to enjoy. Whilst working alongside communities and instigating conservation initiatives, we hope that we have created a more meaningful and sustainable way to protect some of these crucial habitats.

New African Territories is purposefully comprised of a group of camps and lodges that takes their involvement and impact within their local surroundings very seriously. All the camps and lodges make sure to employ and train people from the local surrounding communities in conservation and hospitality related work, providing a source of income that has a trickle down effect for the local people.

All of the properties are also situated in their own private conservancies or protected areas, and they work hard to sustain an eco-tourism friendly environment: conserving the area by implementing a nightly conservation fee, employing game scouts as well as operating their properties in the most eco-friendly way as possible.

Every year, we at African Territories choose a number of projects close to our ethos and ethics to work with and support.
