Makuwa Safari Lodge is easy to reach by self-drive and is located just a stone’s throw away from the Orpen Gate, which allows quick access into the central area of Kruger National Park. The closest airport is Eastgate/Hoedspruit Airport. Access to Makuwa Private Reserve is by appointment only, please phone the lodge manager 066 479 6833 for
gate access.

Makuwa Safari Lodge is located in a low-risk malaria area. Guests are advised to take the appropriate precautions.
En-suite room with 2 three-quarter beds and bathroom with shower, a ceiling fan, mosquito net and an airy patio with garden views. Available in an open plan design or with a private bathroom on request.

Spacious family room with 4 or 5 three-quarter beds and bathroom with shower. Rooms feature a ceiling fan, mosquito nets and a private patio overlooking the garden and sparkling pool.
There is an optional interleading door for families travelling with more than 2 children.

Spacious open plan design featuring 2 three-quarter beds, a bath (no shower), ceiling fan, mosquito net and an airy private patio with garden views.

Blyde Canyon Nature Reserve Hiking - Explore the less visited areas of the Blyde Canyon Nature Reserve on foot with a walking guide. Wander through indigenous forests and take in the magnificent views that surround you. Various full day trails available.
Witness the beauty of Blyde Canyon Nature Reserve. A qualified guide will take you to sights such as God’s Window, Three Rondawels and Bourke’s Luck Potholes on your full day adventure.
Go on an informative tour at one of two leading wildlife rehabilitation centres in the area and learn about the incredible role they play in the conservation of our precious wildlife.

All reservations must be made by email. A non-refundable deposit of 20% is
required to confirm a booking, unless by prior written agreement. Balance of payment is due 30 days prior to arrival. All reservations will be treated as provisional until we receive your deposit. Should we receive another enquiry for the same date, you will be given the opportunity to pay your deposit within 5 working days. Failing which, preference will be given to the new booking.
Cancellations must be made in writing by email.
> 60 days prior to arrival - 20% cancellation fees
59 – 15 days prior to arrival - 75% cancellation fees
14 – 0 days prior to arrival - 90% cancellation fees
Payment must be made by bank transfer to the account details on the invoice. The lodge is a cash-free establishment, Visa/Mastercard or EFT payment only. Please ensure that sender pays for all bank transfer charges.
Should we not receive full amount as per invoice, then the balance will be considered outstanding and still due for payment.
Please forward any dietary requirements to our reservations department 2 weeks prior to travel. Any later than this and we can not guarantee the service.
