Family Stable rooms are en-suite with a queen bed & a sleeper couch for children u/12 only. These rooms are not suitable for more than two adults - The double sleeper couch is ideal for 1 or 2 young children under 12 years. Rooms are equipped with air conditioner, electric blanket in winter, coffee/tea tray. One family room with a shower only and the second stable family room with a shower and bath.

This charming log cabin is situated in the gardens of New Holme. It is a 2 bedroom cabin that sleeps 4 guests. The cabin is fully equipped for self catering, but you can still book your meals at the New Holme Guest House. The cabin is ideal for an extended Karoo visit. During a weekend wedding event this quaint cabin would feature as the honeymoon suit.

New Holme, where angels rest under tall trees (as PC believe!) provides a warm, homely atmosphere, nestling in the splendour of the surrounding nature and sleeps 27 guests. Here you can participate in night drives, birding, and also see the only hippos in the Karoo. Marisca, PC and their four daughters are the owners and managers, and they will ensure that you are well looked after. New Holme is a popular wedding venue, and even Paul and Sarie (Paul C Venter writer, producer & director) chose this venue to celebrate their wedding.

We have realized that there are an increasing number of people who would prefer an affordable and rustic camp idea, especially when spending more time in the area. The Karoo Gariep Tent sleeps four guests in two separate tent compartments. The tent is furnished with a double bed in the back and two single beds in the front part, with private ablution facilities for each tent a mere thirty meters away! The tent is pitched in the New Holme Guest House Garden and has some privacy from the rest of the lodge. The three tents have access to all the facilities at New Holme. Linnen and towels are provided in the tented accommodation.

Mieliefontein, well known for the park-like gardens and sumptuous meals, is the ideal place to rest and refresh your soul halfway between Gauteng and Cape Town. Mieliefontein main guest house can sleep 10 persons sharing and between 2 and 8 persons in the adjacent self-catering and pet-friendly flat. Total of 18 persons.
Enjoy a glass of wine on the porch overlooking the lush garden. Owner of Mieliefontein, Elma Ferreira, (Mother of PC Ferreira of New Holme) will be your hosts and intend to make your stay a memorable one. The dinners are an haute cuisine experience par none, and guests just have to return for more!

Wolmado is a self-catering and more budget friendly option, recommended for larger families and longer stays. This old homestead is comfortably furnished with beautiful country/farmhouse décor, and if you like you can still enjoy your meals at Mieliefontein only a few hundred meters away. Meals at Mieliefontein require pre-booking. The house has five bedrooms and can sleep twelve guests.
