Pelagic birds are seabirds that spend most of their time on the ocean away from land. They only visit land to nest. Birders and scientists often know much less about the pelagic birds in their region than other species, meaning there are still lots of exciting things to discover. Examples of pelagic birds in the Walvis Bay area include several species of Albatrosses, Petrels, Skuas, Prions, Fulmars and Gulls.

We combine an adventure filled quad bike ride with the beauty of an African dusky evening. Follow your guide along huge sand dunes, until he finds the most picturesque location for you to sit and enjoy fresh Namibian oysters  and non-alcoholic champagne while watching the skies turn orange. The Explorer Tour offers a unique experience in the Namib Desert. This is a slow-paced tour but not lacking adventure. You will get to ride your quad bike along huge sand dunes, but also get an educational experience, as your guide aims to show you all the wonderful plant- and animal-life of the Namib. The interesting encounters with the little critters of the desert will give you a different perspective of the Namib, along with some great photos for you to take home. Safety gear, transfers and water is included.
