Elephant Plains Game Lodge is situated in the northern part of the world-famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve, adjacent to the Kruger National Park. Elephant Plains endeavours to offer our guests the opportunity for excellent Big 5 game viewing, combined with luxurious accommodation and sumptuous cuisine. The lodge caters for the discerning traveller, with a variety of accommodation options, varying from Rondavels and Luxury Suites to the Manyeleti Honeymoon Suite.

Elephant Plains Game Lodge is world-renowned for excellent Big 5 game viewing and guests can enjoy two game drives and a bush walk per day. The property has been in the family for the past 57 years and Elephant Plains Game Lodge opened its doors in 1998. The lodge is owner run and accommodates a maximum of 24 guests. This guarantees personal service and attention to detail. With the help of our remarkable team of staff members, our unpretentious style ensures that guests regrettably leave, after creating a lifetime of memories!

Break away to a brilliantly bold and contemporary space, suspended aloft the N’wanetsi River in the Kruger National Park.

The design of Lebombo Lodge was inspired by the many eagles’ nests built into the cliff face of the river bank, resulting in organic, light-filled structures, floating between river and sky.

All communal areas of the lodge have been pushed out into nature to ensure that the outside bursts in, offering immersive and meditative spaces set in a dramatic landscape of giant euphorbia trees.

The relaxed and understated interiors of this former home of the grandfather of Singita’s Founder, Luke Bailes, feature nostalgic references that capture the spirit and history of the original camp.

The property combines the most refined elements of a private safari lodge with the rustic charm of a country farmhouse. Many antiques and furnishings have been refashioned, adding authenticity to the living areas that extend outdoors onto deep, covered verandas which overlook tranquil lawns, a busy waterhole frequented by game and an expansive swimming pool.

Berg-en-Dal is situated on the bank of the Matjulu Spruit with a view of softly undulating hills to the east.

On the northern and southern sides dry riverbeds and a dam border the camp. There are large trees along the streams and dry riverbeds. Special care has been taken to preserve the natural vegetation in the camp. Berg-en-Dal is also the only camp set in a rugged mountain environment.

The spacious Simbavati Homestead is our self-catered lodge, which combines the intimacy and warmth of a holiday home, with the game experience of a traditional safari lodge. Here, in the heart of the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, you can have the freedom of the African bush and its magnificent wildlife. But on your terms. Expertly guided game drives in open 4×4 game drive vehicles can be tweaked to suit your party of family or friends. (Up to a point. Bear in mind that hungry animals on the hunt may not wait for a teenager’s sleep schedule!)

Interiors are comfortable, contemporary and expansive which invites you to totally relax. Five en suite bedrooms sleep 10 people. There’s an open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area for easy living. There’s a separate TV lounge or snug, which is also a perfect place for kids to hang out.

Deep in the bushveld overlooking a waterhole and an open plain, lies a lodge that pulses to the rhythm of Africa’s heartbeat. This is Bush Lodge, steeped in tradition, vibrant and warm, the Sabi Sabi of “Today”. With a history spanning over 35 years, the lodge has earned a reputation of a “luxury home in the bush”, service excellence and effortless personal attention. The conventional safari style showcases a vibrant and eclectic mix of furnishings and décor garnered from all corners of the African continent.

To maintain privacy and intimacy, the lodge has 25 suites in total including 2 Luxury Villas and the Mandleve Deluxe Suite with each suite featuring en-suite bathrooms and al-fresco, glass-fronted showers, with wonderful views of the bushveld.

Two spacious Luxury Villas feature a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, second en-suite bedroom, a private pool, library/lounge and beautiful patio facing a waterhole. The suites are air-conditioned and feature sumptuous linen and classic leather and wood furnishings.

The Mandleve Deluxe Suite features a private plunge pool and luxurious interiors with endless views of the bushveld.

Bush Lodge has been sensitively designed to allow ample space to relax, unwind and savour the tranquility of the bush. The two swimming pools and large covered viewing decks overhanging the Msuthlu riverbed are an invitation to cool off in the filtered water or sit in comfort while spotting game at the well-utilised pan. An exquisitely furnished lounge, atrium and intimate bar area are perfect meeting places for friends old and new. As an extra indulgence, the Amani Spa at Bush Lodge offers the ultimate African Spa experience.

The lodge is family friendly and children of all ages can enjoy the EleFun Centre, a fully-fledged children’s facility. Interesting environmentally themed activities, including hands-on ‘edutainment’ for several distinct age groups, are designed and supervised by qualified childcare professionals.

Located in the heart of the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, Africa on Foot offers guests the opportunity to experience a professional Big Five walking safari in the Kruger. The Klaserie shares unfenced borders with the Kruger, which means wildlife roams freely throughout.

The atmosphere at camp is relaxed. The focus is on authenticity and the "bush" as opposed to luxury. Guests will be made to feel like they are part of the Africa on Foot family. There are only five chalets which means a personalised, intimate service.

There are 2 chalets available for families with adjoining rooms and space for 4 people. A luxury treehouse is beautifully constructed just outside camp for adventurous guests wanting to sleep out in the wild in an elevated wooden "house" on stilts. Two swimming pools adorn the property - one is located inside the camp, which is ideal for families. The other swimming pool is adjacent to the treehouse, a few steps outside of the entrance to camp. 

Hilltop Lodge has one of the finest settings in the Timbavati Private Game Reserve, an unfenced but private part of the Kruger Park. It’s perched on the hillside with wide angle views over the bush and views to the distant mountains of the Drakensberg escarpment. Below lie the expansive Mbali Dam and the Nhlaralumi River, where you may be lucky to see elephant, and other wildlife, come to quench their thirst.

Hilltop Lodge has a light footprint, purposely designed so that it can be removed without leaving any lasting impact on the land. This luxurious tented lodge has a romantic, bright and airy ambience with 8 spacious tented suites connected by wooden walkways to the main lodge.

The Timbavati forms part of the Greater Kruger Park and offers exceptional game viewing including all the Big Five, most notably leopard, and also wild dog. Twice-daily game drives provide for close encounters with birds and animals, large and small.

At Karongwe River Lodge, a delicious food experience awaits you. Dining under the stars has never been so romantic as you enjoy our Pan African cuisine in a rustic outside Boma or, on alternate evenings, in the beautifully appointed dining room. During the 1870’s, high in the crevices of the Drakensberg escarpment which rises to the west of Sabi Sabi, gold was discovered. To transport the gold, the parliament of the Old Transvaal Republic commissioned a railway line from the interior to Delagoa Bay in Mozambique. A branch railway known as the Selati Line crossed the Sabi Sand Reserve.

Today the line is disused but the old railbed can still be seen in the north-eastern section of Sabi Sabi, close to Selati Camp. Located in the Sabi Sand Reserve, Dulini Moya shares unfenced borders with the world renowned Kruger National Park.

Beneath the shade of ancient Ebony and Leadwood trees, the tranquil haven of Dulini Moya is enigmatically embraced by its rich riverine setting. There is a restorative quality to the peaceful atmosphere of the camp, on the banks of the Mabrak River. The symphony of bird song and the passage of wildlife add to the allure of Dulini Moya.

The main lodge, resplendent with deep couches and contemporary African accents spills onto the cool veranda, offers views to the wilderness beyond.

THE DULINI FAMILY

The Dulini Collection is a proudly family run partnership of the Davis and Garratt Clans.

In October 2012, the Garratt and Davis families were privileged to realize a longstanding dream in the acquisition of Dulini.

Their friendship was forged in the early 1990’s when Mick and Barbara Davis were first hosted as guests by Iain and Sue Garratt at the original Dulini Bush Camp. Their friendship is inspired by a love of the wilderness, a passion for excellence and the desire to make a significant contribution to conservation and the lives of those who journey with them.

Baobab Ridge lies within the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve and offers guests an up-market, comfortable, authentic and affordable wilderness experience. This small and intimate private lodge with only seven private suites sleeps a maximum of 16 guests, giving a feeling of serenity, far away from the masses.

The lodge can also be booked exclusively, giving our guests the ultimate private luxury safari. As a part of the Greater Kruger National Park, the Klaserie has no fences between it and the Kruger and can offer guests the full Kruger Park experience in open game viewers. The Klaserie Private Nature Reserve and its neighbour - the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve - are known for their excellent game viewing. 

Family owned and run, the lodge is a home away from home and prides itself on its relaxed, family atmosphere, wide smiles and friendly, welcoming staff. Situated within easy reach of the suites, the main lodge features a bar and lounge area, small TV room with satellite television and DVD player, free WiFi, outdoor terraces, guest bathrooms, a large dining room and an office.

Outdoors there is a comfortable open-air boma area with a fireplace. The swimming pool overlooks the surrounding bush and a small waterhole. The lodge is accessible to wheelchairs and is fully fenced from larger wildlife to ensure your safely.

Guests have full use of the indoor and outdoor living areas and all facilities.

The River Lodges vary in size either being the spacious 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom 10 sleeper or an equally comfortable 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom 8 sleeper. The larger of the two river lodge units consisting of four luxury air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms are the epitome of luxury in Shared Ownership. Each with a full bathroom and sliding glass doors that open onto the a deck offering 180 degrees of unrestricted views onto one of the most sought after locations – the Crocodile River. The lodges are in excess of 240m² which include air-conditioned, ceiling fans and comes with every form of luxury most can think of.

Each individual lodges also consists of an open-plan lounge, dining room & fully equipped kitchen, as well as a large pool and pool-deck with outside braai facility & furniture which will impress the best of connoisseurs. All of course with unrestricted views onto the Crocodile River.

Chacma Bush Camp, enviably located deep within the heart of the lesser-known Maseke Balule Game Reserve in the Greater Kruger, offers the perfect big five safari experience in 8000 hectares of undulating landscapes dotted with rocky outcrops. This family-friendly camp sleeps a total of 10 people, and thus offers an authentic and intimate safari experience close to the Olifants River. Deep caves on the traverse with flecks of mica make for a unique geology and game drives traverse over these diverse landscapes. 

The camp’s perimeter is hugged by Mopane woodlands which are a major drawcard for a wealth of wildlife. Elephants, bushbuck, kudu and plains game are commonly spotted in these woodlands, and can be viewed from the comfort of the deck area surrounding the sparkling swimming pool. There's a natural waterlogged area in front of camp which provides wildlife with the much needed replenishment needed during the heat of the day.

Idube Game Lodge, is situated in the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve, adjoining the Kruger National Park in South Africa. There are 3 Suites, the 2 Makubela Suites, and the Leadwood Suite. All feature spacious rooms and decks leading to private pools. Guests can enjoy different venues for dining and the evening dinner held in the open air boma is always a favorite. Idube features a weekly bush braai (barbeque) weather permitting. The change of venue is always exciting and a whole different experience. This may be moved to bush breakfasts in the cooler weather. Bateleur Safari Camp is located in South Africas world renowned Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, an exceptional safari location. This prime wilderness area boasts the Big Five, a large diversity of antelope species, the entire range of smaller predators, over 500 bird species, and a tremendous diversity of reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. Bateleur Safari Camp is ideal for couples, singles and small groups who are looking for a Timbavati safari that simultaneously exceeds expectations and offers an up-close experience of the true African bush and wildlife. The feature of the camp’s central area is the covered, open-sided wooden deck that houses the lounge and dining areas and overlooks the riverbed and its seasonal waterhole. The comfortable lounge area is an ideal place for idle game viewing or relaxing with a good book and a cool drink between guided activities. Books are available from the library and drinks can be purchased from the bar. At mealtimes the dining area is the perfect location for enjoying sumptuous meals whilst absorbing the sights and sounds of the African bush. The wooden deck extends past the adjacent chemical-free swimming pool which allows guests to cool off in the heat of the day without missing the wildlife and birdlife that frequent the waterhole.

The central area is completed by a tastefully finished, low-walled boma area open to the stars with chairs set up around a central fireplace. This is an ideal place to relax around the fire and share stories of the day’s activities under a big African sky. Adjacent is the camp’s pizza oven and braai/barbeque area, where food is often prepared by the chef on the open fire.

Accommodating up to 16 people, the camp offers very spacious, comfortable safari units with a unique design. Each unit has: a thatched A-frame roof with supporting gum-pole structure and covered patio; canvas sides with large windows offering fixed mosquito screens and roll-down flaps; double wooden front doors with fixed mosquito screens and roll-down flaps for the top half; a large en suite bathroom.

The safari units vary in size, each sleeping 2-4 persons in comfort with spacious beds, quality linen, mosquito nets, bedside tables, solar powered bedside lamps, wardrobes, adequate storage facilities, a small safe, and a solar powered fan for the hot weather. Plug points are provided for charging camera batteries. Each spacious en suite bathroom has flush-toilet, basin and a hot-water shower. Some units have an interior bathtub and a private outdoor shower. Quality towels are provided.

When designing and building Bateleur Safari Camp, it was a priority to make as small a footprint as possible. Tented walls were chosen over concrete structures, allowing guests inside the units a closer interaction with the outdoors. No trees were removed during the building process, allowing the camp to unobtrusively blend into the surrounds. Literally hundreds of trees have subsequently been planted in and around the camp.

Regular 4-legged visitors that can be seen walking within the camp perimeter during the day include Nyalas, warthogs and bushbuck. Elephants, buffalo and rhino can often be seen walking through the riverbed in front of the camp. And at night, anything shorter than an adult elephant can, and often does, walk through the camp under the cover of darkness.

Bateleur now offers a curio shop with a selection of hand-crafted and branded items for those who would like a souvenir from their African safari.

Our rooms are configured as Twin Single (2 single beds), Double (Queen size bed) or Family rooms (Queen size bed and two single pull-out beds for children under 12 years old). Umkumbe Safari Lodge Riverside is the ideal destination for guests who desire an affordable safari in the heart of a predator premier private reserve. With views of the Sand River, Umkumbe is never short of sightings and boasts a high concentration of leopard.

The lodge can accommodate 20 people at maximum. The interleading chalets are ideal for families. A communal boma area is where guests relax after their evening safari and exchange wildlife stories about recent sightings. During the hot summer months guests can relax at the pool, which overlooks the Sand River.

Africa on Foot Wilderness Trails is a one-of-a-kind mobile safari experience in South Africa.  A sister camp to Klaserie’s Africa on Foot, Wilderness Trails is designed to offer 3 nights camping in the Maseke Balule Game Reserve, each night in a different location. Trails usually depart on Mondays and Thursdays.

Each day is spent walking through the 8000 hectare reserve in the Greater Kruger Park, and each night is spent at a new, fully set up mobile campsite in a scenic location in the wilderness. A maximum of 8 guests (sleeping in 4 tents) are taken on the Kruger walking adventure of a lifetime.

The name means “river of sand”, and the sandy riverbed is an excellent location for game viewing, particularly elephant, which thrive in the area. Letaba is a green oasis in the surrounding mopane veld, and remains a firm favourite with visitors. At night the stars overlook a symphony of sounds. Owls, nightjars, frogs, fruit bats, crickets and cicadas all vie to be heard, until the lion roars, then all are silent.

Awelani means "place of rest" and this is exactly what this beautiful property offers visitors doing a road trip through the northern section of Limpopo province.  Situated 12kms from Kruger's Pafuri gate, it's ideally situated for those wanting to explore the famous Luvuvhu River Drive in the park.  Accommodation is in comfortable self-catering units and an onsite restaurant provides an alternative option for those not wanting to cook.

Our rooms are configured as Twin Single (2 single beds), Double (Queen size bed) or Family rooms (Queen size bed and two single pull-out beds for children under 12 years old). MalaMala Sable Camp is a smaller, more intimate version of MalaMala Camp and is ideal for those seeking a more private and secluded safari experience. MalaMala Sable Camp is situated at the southern end of MalaMala Camp in a prime elevated position overlooking the Sand River and surrounding bushveld.

Sable Camp can accommodate a maximum of 20 guests in 7 suites – some of which can accommodate 3 guests sharing. It may also be reserved exclusively for between 14 and 20 guests.

The name “Ndhula” is the short and modified form of Indlulamithi, which means “Giraffe” in the local Zulu language. When the founder of the Lodge first visited this property, a bunch of Giraffes crossed their way. That was the sign to name the Lodge after this graceful animal.
