The Wallow Lodge is located in the Wild Horizons Wildlife Sanctuary, a private concession in the Victoria Falls National Park. A birds-eye view of the area would show you the silver-blue shimmer of the Masuwe River, snaking across a mosaic of green and gold wilderness. The landscape is punctuated by the black basalt gorge, where the rapids of the Zambezi River froth 140 meters below the edge. The Suites

For the modern traveller, Wi-Fi is important and this is readily available throughout the lodge. Under the hot African sun, well placed in the lush gardens are two swimming pools for the guests to use at their leisure. Conservation and preservation of the environment are so important, and Pioneers is committed to being Environmentally Friendly. Carefully placed solar panels are used to harness the power of the sun and covert it to clean energy. Although not totally off the grid yet, most of the lodge runs off solar energy, backed up by generator as a contingency. Pioneers also supports local wildlife charities in aid of conservation, anti-poaching, essential research and anti-litter projects, all of which operate in the Victoria Falls region.

Accommodation consists of 5 double or twin rooms, and 2 triple on-suite rooms for families. All rooms are air conditioned with spacious bathrooms.

This owner operated guesthouse boasts a ‘rooftop bar’ with spectacular views of the escarpment, as well as a separate lounge, dining room, pool and plenty of private nooks to relax in the building and garden.

528 Victoria Falls is a modern airy entity, decorated with rich colours and locally hand-crafted murals, chandeliers and wall carvings which adds depth to the guest experience.

Upstream of the iconic Victoria Falls in the Zambezi National Park lies a pristine piece of land on the banks of the Zambezi River. Nestled within this wild paradise is Old Drift Lodge, a place frequented by elephant, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, Lion and many other animals. The untouched natural beauty of the park is sprawled over 56 000 breath taking hectares. The activities offered at Old Drift Lodge emphasise the rich natural environment, focusing on the abundance of wildlife that roam through the Park and swim the Zambezi River. The Zambezi National park can be explored by road, river or on foot, satisfying guests needs to experience every aspect of this natural utopia.

Old Drift Lodge speaks to the rich heritage of the area. A ‘drift or ‘ford’, is a shallow place in a river or stream where it is possible to cross safely without using a boat. Around 1898, the Old Drift (originally known as Sekutes Drift) was used as a crossing point over the Zambezi River between what was then Southern and Northern Rhodesia (today Zimbabwe and Zambia). The drift was at a point on the river, 7 kilometres above the Falls, where the river is wide but runs low enough during certain periods for safe crossing.

The main lodge area boast 360 degree views, north facing onto the Zambezi & south facing onto a water hole. Only 4.5 kilometres from the town of Victoria Falls, Old Drift Lodge is the closest lodge within the National Park to Victoria Falls. Luxury boats transport guests to our natural utopia where we are able to accommodate guests in 10 double suites and 4 family suites.

Old Drift Lodge offers family friendly accommodation, with each air-conditioned suite decorated with stylish furnishings, fitting of the bygone eras, which blend in seamlessly with the natural environment. The spacious canvas en-suite rooms all have a private lounge, indoor and outdoor showers, plunge pool and an outdoor bath overlooking the Zambezi.

Situated in the quiet residential area, PheZulu Guest Lodge is approximately 3.5km from the Victoria Falls.
